    What About Tomorrow?
Everett Public School's career fair has been so successful over the years that Arlington, Edmonds, Lake Stevens, and
Mukilteo school districts have joined the team to co-sponsor this year's October 16 event. This cross county partnership is sure
to bring thousands of students and community members to learn about Snohomish County's top 10 employment sectors and
the careers and training avenues available therein, said one of Everett's organizers and the district's lead counselor, Becky
    Ballbach.
This year's event is set for Tuesday, Oct. 16 and will again take place at the Comcast Arena at the Everett Events Center from
    1:30 - 6:30 p.m.
Much more than a job fair, the Career and College Fair showcases the wide variety of post-secondary institutions — including
colleges, universities and technical schools — and career opportunities that exist in the work world, with a focus on in -demand
industries in Snohomish County. The fair will be divided into marked sections featuring educators, business leaders, and
training providers in industry clusters, including biotechnology, health services, advanced manufacturing, construction, and
hospitality. Metal street signs will mark paths to each industry sector area as well as to areas to learn about local colleges and
    career information.
Sponsored jointly by Everett Public Schools and Workforce Development Council Snohomish County, the Career and College
Fair provides students with the chance to speak with representatives from colleges, technical schools, trades, and businesses.
All staff, students, parents, and community members are invited to the fair from 1:30 — 6:00 p.m. on October 16th. Visit the
Everett School District Career and College Fair web site at www.everett.k12.wa.us/careerfairto download a free event
