Everett Public Schools welcomes next year's kindergarten students

Although this school year is not yet finished, and there are nine more months before the next school year begins, it is time to

think about kindergarten registration for next year.

Children who will be 5 years old by August 31 are eligible to begin kindergarten in September. To ensure that there are

enough teachers and classrooms ready for next year's youngest students, district elementary schools will begin registering

kindergarten students starting March 10 for next year.

at neighborhood schools or by

calling 425-385-4032. Students who are not 5 years old by the end of August, but who will be 5 by October 31, might be

eligible for kindergarten through the early entrance program. Early entrance program informationis also available at each

neighborhood elementary school office, or at 425-385-4032.

Families planning to register in March are asked to bring:

Identification and proof of immunization

l

Birth certificate

l

Utility bill or rental agreement confirming the child's residential address
