Special Board Meeting

 


 

The Board of Directors of Everett School District No. 2, Snohomish County, Washington, held a special board meeting on August 24, 25 & 27, 2009 in Room 352 of Whitehorse Hall at Everett Community College, 2000 Tower Street, Everett, Washington. Board members in attendance were Carol Andrews, Sue Cooper, Kristie Dutton, Karen Madsen and Ed Petersen. The special board meeting began at 8:30 a.m. on August 24, 2009, and ended at 4 p.m. on August 27, 2009.

 





BOARD ACTION AND/OR BOARD DISCUSSION

The purpose of the special meeting was to hold a board workshop to discuss and consider plans for the 2009-2010 school year, including board development, planning cycles and process, board goals, communication plans and diversity best practices review. The meeting was held in open session with the exception of August 24, 2009, from noon until 4:30 p.m., which was held in executive session for the purpose of reviewing the performance of a public employee.

 

President Cooper called the special meeting to order at 8:30 a.m. on August 24, 2009. At noon, President Cooper recessed into executive session for the purpose of reviewing the performance of a public employee. Prior to going into executive session, it was announced the executive session would be of approximately 4 ½ hours’ duration. No action was taken.

 

At 4:30 p.m., President Cooper re-convened the open session of the special meeting and immediately recessed until August 25, 2009, at noon.

 

At noon on August 25, 2009, President Cooper re-convened the special meeting. At 4 p.m.

President Cooper recessed the special meeting until August 27, 2009, at 9 a.m.

 

At 9 a.m. on August 27, 2009, President Cooper re-convened the special meeting. At 4 p.m., President Cooper adjourned the special meeting.
