    USING NUMBERS IN THE CAFETERIA


     

    This is the keypad that students use when they check in to eat breakfast or lunch in the cafeteria. Each child will have his/her own ID number. Before children come to school it would be helpful for them to be able to find and identify the numbers on this Key Pad.

     

    Directions: You might begin by counting and touching the numbers in order to 10.

     

    Then you might name numbers out of order and have your child point to them as you say them.

     

    You can also point to numbers and have your child name them.

     

    Finally, the child can challenge you by naming a number and asking you to find it or by pointing to a number and having you name it. Keep this sheet on the refrigerator so you can review it when you and your child have a minute.
