With the upcoming dissolution of the Everett School Employee Benefit Trust (Trust), there will be a number of changes that will affect our employees. Starting January 1, 2020, the School Employees Benefits Board (SEBB) Program will administer health insurance and other benefits to all K-12 school districts, educational service districts, and charter schools in Washington. Since 2008 the Trust has financed the wellness coordinator position. The wellness coordinator oversees the employee wellbeing program for district employees. With the disbanding of the Trust, the wellness coordinator position will be eliminated on June 30, 2019.

Vacancy Announcement:A position is now open for Director of Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) & Wellness. This is a level II director position and will report to the assistant superintendent of the south region.

Position Summary: Provides leadership, project management, and development of the district’s student support programs to include: multi-tier system of supports (MTSS) development (e.g., general education/pre-referral processes in academic, social-emotional, behavioral supports), 504 accommodations, student and staff wellness, and associated support of equity and access programs.

A multi-tiered system of supports (MTSS) is a service delivery framework focused on prevention and problem solving for all students. An integrated MTSS connects all the academic and non-academic interventions, supports, and services available in schools and communities to support instruction and eliminate barriers to learning and teaching. Within an MTSS framework, multiple levels of instruction, assessment, and intervention are designed to meet the academic and non-academic needs of each student.
