      Japanese class to be offered
      Everett
High-school and college students in Everett won't have to travel far to learn a different
      language.
Starting in the fall, Everett Community College and the Everett School District are
partnering to offer college-credit world-language classes to students in the district and the
      public.
The first offering is Japanese 101, which will be held twice a week fall quarter.
All students will earn five college credits, and high-school students will also earn one
high-school credit for each class completed with a passing grade.
The course fee is $380 per quarter, plus about $150 for textbooks. The deadline for
      enrollment is Aug. 15.
For more information, call Kathleen Koss at Everett Community's Nippon Business
      Institute, 425-388-9195, or e-mail kkoss@everettcc.edu
