    Jeff called the meeting to order at 5:00 p.m. and the Trustees continued their discussion from the September 29th meeting regarding new rates and benefits.
     
    Molly reported that she and Jill Mehner had completed reference checks on Healthcare Management Administrators (HMA) and indicated that all were favorable. She and Jill spoke with representatives from Peace Health, Sun West Management and the City of Everett.


     

    Tom Pursley distributed three scenarios. One of the scenarios had three options. After a lengthy discussion the trustees agreed that scenario A2a was the best plan. This scenario included changing the third-party administrator from Zenith to HMA, moving from a two-tier to a three-tier prescription plan and increasing employee contributions slightly. A motion was made, seconded and approved to accept scenario A2a. This plan will become effective on January 1, 2004.

     

    The meeting was adjourned at 6:05 p.m.

     

    Next meeting is scheduled for Monday, October 27th and will be held in C3 at the Administrative Center.
