Good afternoon fellow Benefit Trustees:

You will note in the email below that Melanie Curtice is leaving the law firm of Stoel Rives and will be moving to the law firm of Perkins Coie. I suggest that we place an item on our August 24 meeting agenda regarding legal counsel representation for the Trust. In the meantime, her associate Howard Bye-Torres can assist the trust if guidance is needed. Melanie has provided legal counsel and advice to the Trust for about the last 12-13 years. She was instrumental in the development of our Trust policies and procedures as well as assisting the trust with the selection of new auditors and financial advisors. She has also helped us navigate the Affordable Care Act and other legal matters as they arose.
