    Dear ESEBT Board of Trustees,

Following from our last month’s discussion, attached is a brief governance presentation that we will go through during the meeting.   Following the discussion, we will then discuss next steps.   As a placeholder, I suggest the following tasks and associated timelines for completion:

·Review of ESEBT Policies and Procedures, recommend updates to same, and add additional policies if necessary.   The responsible parties include the Trustees, Everett School District staff, and counsel.   Timing is TBD.

·Following review and update of HIPAA policies and procedures, appoint of HIPAA privacy and security officers.   The responsible parties include the Trustees, Everett School District staff, and counsel.   Timing is TBD.

·Restate 2005 Trust Agreement. Responsible parties include trustees and counsel.   Timing is TBD.

Once the next steps are agreed to, we will create and work from a project plan.

I look forward to seeing you all next week.

    Best regards,

    Melanie
