    Spring

Spring can be a miserable time. My chores are so exhausting that I sometimes cry. With this one particular chore, my muscles ache because of the pressure I have to put on the handle. Blades are flying, making a huge roaring sound. It’s not fair that I get stuck with this job. I end up getting really dirty – and green.

    David

David never thought he would end up here. It was dark, cold, and damp. In fact, it smelled moldy and mildewy. Something flew past him at such speed that he yelled and ducked. David couldn’t wait to get out of this pit. After the animal flyby, he ran up the steep, wet cliff until he saw daylight. David decided he would never walk down into that hole again.

    The Furniture Fair Truck

The Furniture Fair truck arrived and opened its back door to deliver Leanne’s furniture. A cat jumped out of the truck and onto the hot pavement. It leaped and hopped into Leanne’s cool garage. Leanne loved dogs, but she would rather not own a cat. Now she had to spend her time looking for a cat. Leanne looked at her watch, sighed, and began to look around, calling, “Kitty! Kitty!” The cat scooted underneath her car. If the cat only knew that LeAnn was trying to help it! She wanted to take it back to its owner, or at least find a home for it. Eventually the cat came out, and Leanne was able to find its owner.
