Fine Arts Classroom Based Performance Assessments

 


 

Assessment: Elementary Visual Arts (“Other Strategy” allowed by state law.)

 

 

Student Population: Grade 5 students who receive instruction in the Visual Arts from a specialist (currently Woodside, Lowell and James Monroe Elementary Schools).

 

 

Class: Grade 5 Visual Arts

 

 

Frequency of Testing: Once per school year.

 

 

Directions: Students will complete a common visual arts assignment to be determined by the elementary visual arts specialists.

 

 

Time Requirement: Teacher will determine the appropriate length of time students have to complete the assessment. Assessment will be completed approximately by the end of the school year.

 

 

Scoring: Teacher will score assessment as they would other Visual Arts assignments in their class.

 

 

Reporting: Number of students participating will be e-mailed to Curriculum Office for the purposes of reporting to OSPI. Reporting due date will be set based upon the OSPI reporting due date.
