Fine Arts Classroom Based Performance Assessments

 


 

Assessment: High School Visual Arts (“Other Strategy” allowed by state law.)

 

 

Student Population: High school students who receive instruction in the visual arts.

 

 

Class: High School Introduction to Art

 

 

Frequency of Testing: Once per grading period with new students.

 

 

Directions: Students will complete a full-face graphite portrait assignment. Teachers will use a common assignment checklist.

 

 

Time Requirement: Teacher will determine the appropriate length of time students have to complete the assessment. Assessment will be completed approximately by the end of each grading period.

 

 

Scoring: Teacher will score assessment using a teacher created rubric as they would other Visual Arts assignments in their class.

 

 

Reporting: Number of students participating will be e-mailed to Curriculum Office for the purposes of reporting to OSPI. Reporting due date will be set based upon the OSPI reporting due date.
