    Get Students Started with ABC-CLIO's Online Research Lists
    Suppose your students are researching the philosophical ideas that influenced the Declaration of Independence
    or the circumstances that fueled the rise of fascism in Europe in the early 1990s.
    In just a few steps, you can quickly assemble links to credible articles and primary sources that your students can
    easily access by clicking the Research List button on the home page of the database.
    How can you use the Research List?
    A Research List is a useful tool for:
    Giving students reliable resources to start a research project
    Planning lessons
    Assembling resources for class presentations
    Assigning homework
    Providing additional resources beyond those in a textbook
    Supplying all students with access to the same materials at the
    same time
    Collecting primary source materials for exams or exam practice
    Let s Get Started!
    To create a custom Research List:
    Log on to the ABC-CLIO online database using the Staff Edition username and password you get from
    your librarian or by calling 1-800-368-6868
    Start your Research List by simply going to any reference resource page and clicking on the "
    Add To
    Research List
    " button
    Give your list a name so that you or your students can easily identify it
    Select the
    Save and Post
    button if you want your current list to be posted immediately for student access
    or click
    Save for Later
    if it s for your personal use or if you want to do further editing
    You can add Notes to give students instructions or remind them of the goals of the assignment
    At any time you can add, delete, or change the order of the items in your list
    That s all there is to it! Now you can add more resources, edit your list, print your list, or create additional research
    lists. Once you have saved a Research List, it will always be available until you choose to delete it
    Student Access:
    After you
    ve posted a list, your students simply click the
    Research Lists
    button in the Student Access version of
    the database's home page and then click on the name of the assigned list.
