Modeled and Independent Reading
| 1. | Select a Paperback or Audiobook to read. Look at the Book poster to find books at your level. The best books for you to read to improve your reading and should be easy for you to read and enjoy are books that are from 100 Lexiles below your most recent SRI Lexile score up to 50 Lexiles above your Lexile. | |
| 2. | Record the date, title, pages/tracks, and comments in your Reading Log every day. | |
| 3. | Complete the QuickWrite and Graphic Organizer for each book. Look at these before you begin your book because some questions you will need to respond to after specific pages or chapters. | |
| 4. | Return your book and/or headphones to the appropriate place. | |
| 5. | After finishing a book: take a Reading Counts! quiz on the computer. Enter your book into the rBook log. | |
