It is my honor to notify you that The DEN at Jackson High School has been awarded Gold Certification. Along with this honor, our Timberwolves have been selected to send 3 students and myself to the School Based Enterprise Academy at the International Career Development Conference. Of course, there are many logistics and the cost to attend still to figure out, however, we are very excited and proud of all of their hard work. The students will be recognized on stage in
front of over 15,000 members and honored guests at the Opening Session and will attend the multi-day Academy to learn about ways to improve our school based business. In addition to this, they will be representing the State of Washington, by presenting to a panel of corporate employees from Otis Spunkmeyer, the sponsor of this program.
Lastly, I received a phone call from National DECA congratulating us on submitting the best project from across the country. They made a request to publish the HM Jackson Timberwolves project online for future student businesses to use as a model. This is a HUGE honor for us and we look forward to seeing our business on the National DECA webpage.
We want to thank you for all of your support of our students, the marketing program and specifically The DEN.
