Technology
Cascade High School students in Scott Shafer’s class made $700 for their school video club, and are helping local businesses generate customers.
Local businessman Bob Sherman builds and sells portable sewing and ironing boards for quilters. By tapping in to the online video world of instructions and marketing, Sherman knew he could generate interest in his innovative ironing boards. CHS students filmed and edited the video which is available on
Etsy.com
.
Jack Follis, a local attorney running for Snohomish County Superior Court Judge, also enlisted the students’ help to shoot and edit a video which is available on his
website
under the Social Media tab.
As Shafer explains, “Both of these projects gave our Career and Technical Education (CTE) students a great look into the business world of video production. Not only did they have to know the technology but they had to organize, plan, and manage their time to work with these paying clients.”

These were ordered by the parents that were organizing the event. These Special Education students were excited to have flowers to wear with their fancy clothes and enjoyed an evening of catered food, dancing w/a DJ and games! The M-P Life Skills Prom is on Saturday, May 19th.
EHS Floriculture 2 students Fiona Bowen & Feylin Cook, designed wrist corsages for the Golden Acorn Awards Dinner at Whittier Elementary May 16th. These mini-gerber daisy corsages were ordered to honor their outstanding teachers for the year. I’ve attached a photo of these corsages.
