Discussion: Group discussed expanded job shadows for this school year to include possibly some fleets and independent shops and accommodate more students. Smith and Fender will explore providing transportation to students as getting students to and from was a difficulty last year. Mike Plumb offered to sub for Smith so he could transport students to and from shadow activities and supervise students at job sites. Review of last years process of students spending 2-3 hours per site group felt this was most effective. Smiths wife Adrienne has volunteered to help organize activities. Fender suggests shadow activities should move students towards certification exams and into internships.
