Subject: Report on National Career Readiness Certification
Discussion: Smith reported on conversation he had with Carl Fender regarding the NCRC website and it's possible inclusion into the automotive program as a pretest and using some of the curriculum in the auto program.
    
     
     
     
Action/Proposal: Smith will follow through with information gathering and costs etc.
     
     
     
Subject: Report on Program status as per scheduling
Discussion: Smith reported on proposed changes to program scheduling regarding the blending of advanced and beginner students in the same class as per discussions with administrators and Fender.
Advanced students had disappointing test results from the ase student testing. Although some advanced students did pass all 4 sections we had hoped to do better. On the advice of Stefani Kotji (Cascade Vice Principal) we will implement a plan of only allowing instructor screened students into blended classes and have stricktly Auto Tech classes 5th and 6th period.
     
     
     
Action/Proposal: Smith will follow up with administration and counselling
 
Subject: Equipment purchases
Discussion: discussion about needs for new NATEF standards to better instruct students towards Maintenance and Light Repair (MLR) certification. Smith has been assembling assorted equipment (antifreeze recycler, fluid extractor) to this end. Fender has approved purchase of OTC Pegysis for program.
