Marketing Advisory Board MINUTES

    Present: Jennifer Chambers, Jodi Galli, Shane Kleven, George Brush, Rose Smith, Laurie Elmer, Aubrey Michaelis, Gary Hauff, Teresa Wenta, Kevin Giboney, Deana Snell, Stacey hall, Diane Westfahl and Nicole Eels (Not Present: Mike Ellis, Debbie Long, Bruce Engebretsen, Giselle Saguid, Pam Hammond, Patty McDonald, Mindy McLeeland and Karlene Wick)

    Welcome and Introductions: Jennifer and Teresa welcomed everyone and we again introduced ourselves. We had three Science teachers as guests and three students as guest presenters.

    Student Presentations and Feedback : Darren Pouv from Cascade presented a Wedding Venue Sales presentation and Abby Baah and Wadsana Xinavong presented a Learn and Earn Project about their Spirit Wear business they started. Advisory and teachers gave feedback and thanked them for their time and congratulated them on their successes.

    Blogging: Aubrey Michaelis presented Blogging and how it is utilized, who uses blogging, what it can be used for etc… She showed examples of blogs and a video on blogging.

    Reflection on today’s Advisory Meeting Setup: Overall feedback was this was the best Advisory we have ever had. Enjoyed the student presentations and Aubrey’s lesson. Everyone felt they learned something today!

    Future Hosting Sites: It was presented that if anyone wanted to host or cou8ld arrange to host our Advisory at another location to email Teresa or Jennifer. Teresa has volunteered to host at Providence and Deanna has volunteered to host at the Auburn Distribution Center in the morning with a tour.
    Next meeting: May 24th
