CTE Vision

To enhance each student’s K-12 academic learning through relevant experiences, leading to a productive career and personal life.

One idea is to offer certificates of proficiency to students who earn a B or better. Is this an adequate measure or are there examples from industry that would be more appropriate?

 Program growth and marketing: middle school career fairs, high school and beyond night  (w/parents and students), meet with counselors, career fair (district wide), tech night,  websites, 8th grade night, 8th grade letter, display cases, middle school registration transition  days, scholarship money, t-shirts, Announcements, Northwest Afternoon, CTE fun fact of the  day, district PowerPoint, advertise in student newspaper

 

 Ideas for doing more from business people: names of classes associated with the club, so  students know the classes go with clubs, advertise more around school

Gary Hoff – Business Journal is asking for volunteers March 12th from 2:00-3:00 and March 13th from 4:00-5:00 at Everett Community College
