As an added bonus to schools, student publications are provided the photos as needed at no additional charge. Eric said that he was willing, in coming years, to help student organizations sell their images as fund raisers for the schools.
Discussion of Programs & Request for input from Community Members:
Teachers discussed the current state of their programs with an emphasis on the growing challenges of keeping programs going with the needed student populations. Noted were the loss of students to remedial programs, to additional elective offerings from other departments, and from increased admission requirements for many colleges and universities.
Community members made inquiries for additional information. Suggestions included looking in to certification programs offered by software companies like Adobe. Other suggestions focused on making sure that students continued to have access to resources that would provide students with a strong foundation of fundamental skills to enable them to continue their studies and to be successful in the professional world. Community members gave their perspective on lighting equipment and software they felt were important for students to have access to.
