    Presenter Lance Forshay

    Lance is a native user of ASL, and the fourth of five Deaf generations. He has taught 20 years of ASL teachings. He is presently an ASL and Deaf Studies Lecturer and Program Coordinator at the University of Washington.



    Upon completing the workshop, the participant will understand and define ASL inflectional verb types; will have the ability to produce each in ASL grammar with correct NMS and hand movements simultaneously and appropriately; and will identify which ASL verbs are inflectional and which types for each. The participant will learn the strategies of teaching ASL inflectional verbs and the variety of classroom activities that will reinforce ASL students’ ASL grammar skills.



    Reminder: Every high school articulated with Seattle Central Community College send a representative faculty person to the meeting. All are welcome.

    This workshop is free for all ASL Consortium members.

    If you are not an ASL Consortium member, please make a $30 check or invoice voucher payable to Seattle Central Community College and bring it to the door. The invoice form is attached above.



    Free Visitor Parking Pass: All of you who RSVP will receive a free visitor parking pass. Go to SCCC – Harvard Parking Garage, 1609 Harvard Avenue, and drive up to SCCC parking attendant and present your identification card and he will see your name on the list and let you in free.

    Registration $30 cancellation must be received in an email, prior to or on Sept. 23rd.
