    Dear Linda,

First, let me apologize for the delay in sending you this information. I’m so glad you were able to make it to our advisory committee kick off, and thank you for agreeing to serve on the American Sign Language Advisory Committee. As a member of this group you will be a resource on curriculum and career options for students.

This committee meets four times per year. The next meeting is scheduled for January 29 from 6 – 7:30 p.m. Ellen Carpentier will be sending you an agenda and the meeting location.

The Career and Technical Education program in Everett Public Schools contains ten areas of learning. Each area of study has a committee made up of representatives from industry. These individuals serve to give feedback to ensure that lessons taught in the classroom align with industry standards. As a member of this committee you will be asked to give input in your area of expertise.

Enclosed in this packet you will find:
    · American Sign Language Advisory Committee Job Description
    · Everett Public Schools Partnership Brochure
    · Everett Public Schools District Guide and Boundary Map
    · Everett Public Schools Parent Handbook and Calendar

Please take time to review the enclosed information and feel free to contact me with any additional questions.

    Sincerely,
