Most agreed on 2 items. First that their input is appreciated and second that the value of their input is confirmed by timely and accurate feed back regarding their suggestions. One long time member stated that they had never received feed back on any suggestions/ideas |

Instructors must ensure that suggestions/ideas brought forward during committee meetings and agreed as an action item are followed up with feedback to either the individual involved if appropriate or the committee as a group |

Instructors provide curriculum to advisory group Upon review, Instructors discuss possible meeting with selected advisory members meet to discuss prior to next regular scheduled meeting on11 March, 2009.
Advisory members were in full agreement that knowledge of the industry is important however, the number one priority they seek in new/potential employees is they possess a strong work ethic, are team players, and show up ready to work on time. |

Subject: Industry Trends/future Discussion: It was pointed out that the horticulture and floriculture industry is a major industry in the State of Washington that encompasses many disciplines/career pathways. Instructors need to explore each of these career paths and ensure that these pathways are conveyed to all students in their career and leadership units within their respective curriculums Action/proposal: Instructors continue to liaison with community/area industries to remain current regarding career opportunities |
