    Dear Marlis,

Everett Public Schools and would like to invite you to become a member of the Agriculture and Horticulture Advisory Committee. This committee gives industry input on courses that include environmental horticulture and agriculture science. Vocational advisory committees help to ensure that students graduate with a career plan and enter the workforce with current job specific skills.

Our first meeting for the year is a combined meeting with other committees, scheduled for September 29, 2004, 4-6:00 p.m. at Cascade High School in the cafeteria. At this meeting the three additional meetings will be scheduled.

The Career and Technical Education program in Everett Public Schools contains seven areas of learning, each with their own advisory committee. Each committee is made up of representatives from industries that give feedback to ensure that lessons taught in the classroom align with current standards. Members of this committee are asked to give input in their area of expertise.
