Follow-up on student recognition

Tammy surveyed students about this matter.
· Most students not that interested in a certificate, unless they are college bound and can mention it with college applications
· Cash Awards were mentioned by students!!
· Food coupons-gift card for pizza, Starbucks, etc.
· Big bag of candy!
· Maybe just a bulletin board announcement in class
· Blurb in the newspaper, not very intriguing to students.

Volunteer recognition

Thank you certificated were given to attending members for their willingness to

volunteer on our committee.

Other

Cascade Horticulture Class has been working with the Presbyterian Church across the

street from the school in planting and tending a Pea Patch for Food Bank/Homeless assistance. Lots of vegetables like peas and potatoes have been planted and the students are excited as things begin to grow. It was a good opportunity for Cascade students to actually get to work in a garden.
