    “Caught in the Act” Award- Sno. County Children-recognize a student or someone who does something good for the community

     

    Lauren-explained ideas for community student recognition: Advisory Committee recognizes students

     

    BECU: options for volunteer/community service work for students

     Volunteer of the Year-2,500 from BECU-nominated by community

     

    SCHD: recognize long-time community service

     Suggestion: provide certificate from H and H Advisory to recognize students

     

    Snoh. County Children: suggestion-list of names that receive Bravo cards

     

    SCHD: student to student recognition

    o Bring to May 5 meeting (nomination of students)
    o Personal growth area
    o Email committee checklist/requirements (PLC workday)


     
    · Program Growth and Marketing


     

    Ask students how to Market program (what will help introduce programs to other students)-teachers stated what is already being done to marketing CTE

     

     BECU-suggestion: referral program-refer so many and get leadership points

     

     SCHD-rename of classes-Independent Living to “Survival”-name will grab

    students attention

     

    Marketing-needs to be eye catching

     

    SCHD, Pam and Lauren-Parent Talk: Parent appreciation of CTE classes and their

    Successes; introduce to life skills

     

    Internships: BECU, HD, Jeff Russell (Lutheran church)-need to be in ministry

     

    Program (volunteer at Bethany home), EDCAP, Children Council

     

    Health District: Sting Operation; need to be 15-17 yrs old, parent permission, 5

    Hour time commitment
