    Michelle R- a role in the advisory enthusiasm, something to contribute

     

    Deborah J.-advocate for people (transition students into adults), change for community

     

    Carol G.- A purpose, something to offer. Works on the development of Mental Health for children 0-3 years

     

    Nancy V. – A purpose

     

    Debbie W. – a purpose, not wasting time of others

     

    Jeff R. – Helpful feedback passion for education

     

    Suzanne T. – sense of accomplishment

    Trends:
    · Jobs seem to be on the increase in Food Service/Purchasing.
    · We discussed the changes in food choices from natural foods to using more processed and back to more natural foods
    · Implementing nutrition into the diets….variety of groups and colors…
    · Junk food and kids diets
    · Food tasters: Would our high school students want to be food taste testers for Debbie when they are trying out new foods. We said Yes!


     





    Health

    Future Trends:

    There is an increase of jobs in the Health Care Area: Nursing and specialized areas

    There is an emphasis on Preventative Health Care and alternative medicines thus an increase in Natural pathetic medicine and Doctors, Massage therapy, Dieticians, Dental Hygiene, Acupuncture Docs

    Community College and Universities are offering more and more online classes

    Community Colleges are team teaching to enhance areas of English, Math and Communication

    Each field requires the ability to listen and respond to needs more than ever.

    BECU- attitude gets you the job. Can train for the skills, but personality is needed. Have Goals

     

    Little Red School House-0-3 years old-set stages of Child Development. Evidence Based Practices-all programs have to show/provide research and evidence to be funded

    Curriculum to look at: “Promoting First Relationships”, “Circle of Security”

     

    Debbie Jones (works with Vocational assistance-getting adults with disabilities jobs in the community)- Forming relationships, Growth, acceptance.

     

    Pastor at Central Lutheran – Relations Savvy, vision accountability (student/employee centered learning and working

     

    Volunteers and Teachers were ask to email Erin M. with any ideas for upcoming meeting agenda.
