    Present: Julie Sevald, Erin Marques, Mary Anne Erickson, Keri Moore, Correne Bonkowski, George Cox, Brittany Armstrong-Hoss, Rick Peterson, Cheryl Fisher, Tiffany Dixon, Monica Lochrie, Kim Fisher, Corie Gudgeon, Leslie Uglem

    Introductions

    1. Everyone introduced themselves and what they do

    2. Approved minutes from last month


    FCCLA Update

    1. Completed an after school clean-up with Project Green club

    2. Ropes Course Leadership field trip in June with DECA 

    3. Looking for more community service opportunities

     -Keri suggested a Health Kids Day fair next month in Marysville


    Completed the Unfinished Business

    Health:

       -Hookah bars and smoking growing problem

    -Not following smoking laws, have been raided

    - Target market 18-21 years old

    - Not less tobacco and smokes for longer duration

         Keri Moore will email articles


    Child Development:

     -Brain research from John Medina

    - Kids telling personalized stories, read and write sooner

    - Washington Kids, Kindergarten teacher assessments, meets with families

    - Child care regulations

      Correne Bonkowski will talk to Sheryl Iverson to speak at next meeting about child care regulations


    Child Development and Health:

    -New practices for female healthcare

    - Pap test every 5 years, pelvic exam annually

    - Contraception

         Brittany Armstrong-Hoss
