Maggie, John, Rob

5:05 New state legislation for high school math graduation requirements (Maggie)

Maggie discussed the changes and how it might effect the CTE enrollment.

5:25 Student recognition – Discuss ways to integrate a program that recognized students for their achievements. This program could be quarterly or each semester. How can advisory leaders be a part of recognizing student success?

Student of the month, quarter, semester, etc.
Recognition on web site? Teacher’s page, classroom wall, hall way, display case, etc.

One idea is to offer certificates of proficiency to students who earn a B or better. Is this an adequate measure or are there examples from industry that would be more appropriate?
