2005-06 Student Art Shows Open to the Public
The Everett Public Schools, Arts Council of Snohomish County and the Everett Public Schools Foundation are pleased to announce the 8th annual art shows open to the public for the 2005-06 school year.
The Middle School show will be open for public viewing from January 31, 2006 to March 2, 2006 from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The opening reception will be February 7, 2006 starting at 6:00 p.m.
The High School show will be open for public viewing from March 13, 2006 to April 21, 2006 from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The opening reception will be March 21, 2006 starting at 6:00 p.m.
In addition to student awards at the high school art show, one student will be honored with the Superintendent’s Purchase Award, sponsored by the Everett Public Schools Foundation. Superintendent Dr. Carol Whitehead will select a piece of art from the show for permanent display at the district office. Another student will be awarded the Everett Public Schools Foundation scholarship for excellence in the visual arts, worth $1,000. Information regarding scholarship applications will be made available at a later date through the Everett Public Schools Foundation.
The middle school and high school art opening receptions will be held immediately following the regularly scheduled school board meetings at the Educational Service Center located at 4730 Colby Avenue, Everett.
