Welcome & Introductions

John Monroe opened the meeting introductions were made.

Those present were: Susan Bradshaw, Glenn Coil, Kim Newman, Murray Reid, John Thornquist, Anneliese Vance-Shenman, Curtis Takahashi, Brian Day, Richard Sander, Carl Fender, John Monroe, Chairman, Diane Storm, recorder

 





Minutes from October 16th meeting

Minutes were approved and accepted. John asked about March meeting date. Minutes were revised and added to read March 26, 2014 meeting date. Location, CRC, Cascades Meeting Room

   





Continue EPS Graduate Follow-up Study for the Classes of 2011 & 2012

Carl continued his power point presentation on Graduation follow-up study Post-secondary pathways and student planning, Graduate Follow- Study of class 2012. Career clusters and courses taken 2012-2013. Completer report, class of 2013 graduates earning Tech Prep credit, and industry certifications.

 





Questions and Discussion on Follow-up Study

Discussion was on student planning, and the group agreed that every student must have a plan starting in the beginning of their high school experience.

John asked Anneliese, if she could prepare an analysis on the data that was presented and compare it with her job numbers and typical job hourly wages. Anneliese would put some information together for our next meeting.

John Monroe asked that a larger version of the power point presentation information be emailed to advisory members.

 





Discussion on article:

A job after graduation. It's what all parents want for their kids. So, what's the smartest way to invest tuition dollars to make that happen?
