Discussion: Smith reports that documents have been received and will continue to work on recert process through the summer for a fall recert evaluation
Subject: Maintenance and Light Repair ASE Test
Discussion: Smith reports that approximately 15 students took the new NATEF Maintenance and Light Repair test this spring and are still waiting for results. Smith contacted NATEF this morning and was told that results were being tabulated and would be available soon. Neill reports that he and Renton Tech are working on an agreement with us and several schools to give students who complete the MLR tasks and pass the MLR test credit at the college for 1 quarter.

Discussion: Smith reports that Z Sport motors has sponsored 3 interns this summer. Steve Lowry is interviewing a possible prospect tomorrow and Al Keilow of Conoway Motors is sponsoring a student bring our total interns to 5 this summer. Jack Pennington is also looking for a wash rack student and Smith will send prospects to him.
Subject: New Vehicles
Discussion: Smith was given 3 vehicles from Burlington Edison High School. 2 were crushed as they were of no value to the program ( a non-running 98 Saturn and a non-running Honda Accord with no rear window) and a 2008 Pontiac Vibe, which the program will utilize.
Subject: Shop Safety Inspection
Discussion: The yearly Shop Inspection was conducted by the committee. No violations or concerns were found.
