ADVISORY COMMITTEE MINUTES

In attendance:

Subject:	Report on Re-Cert Process - Smith
Discussion:	Smith reported on the progress so far. CHS has elected to certify to MLR standards as we do not have A/C equipment necessary for Auto Service Tech level. The committee agreed that this was for the best. Smith reported that the timeline would be for next fall and that AYES and ASE have given the program a 6 month extension as our certification expired in Feb.

Committee approved certification under Maintenance and Light Repair standards

Subject:	New Shop Vehicles
Discussion:	As Burlington Edison has closed their auto program they have donated 3 vehicles to CHS. These are a 99 Saturn cut-away, a 98 Honda Accord and a 2006 Pontiac Vibe. Smith reported that the Saturn and the Vibe were the only ones he really wanted but it was a take them all or none deal. Smith is using his truck and a tow dolly to pick them up and has already gotten the Saturn.

Subject:	Auto Training Expo
Discussion:	Smith reported on his attendance at the March ATE conference and the programs he took. He completed the required 20 training hours for 2013.
