On Wednesday April 30, 2014, Workforce Snohomish is putting on their annual hands-on career fair for construction and advanced manufacturing. The event will be held at the Evergreen State Fairgrounds in Monroe from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. This event is used to showcase higher education, specialized trade skills training, and employment in Construction and Advanced Manufacturing in Snohomish County. Bus transportation to and from the event will be provided by Workforce Snohomish. As part of the event, students will have the opportunity to participate in hands-on activities of industry processes, which may involve the use of hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment. Construction: architectural design and engineering; construction supervision and management; construction trades skills; Advanced Manufacturing: product innovation and design; cutting-edge process technologies; enhanced supply chain integration and much more will be part of this event.
