Capacity
Tallest to Shortest |
Unit: Bigger, Taller, Heavier, Smaller
This unit focuses on measuring length, capacity, and weight. They will be comparing objects to determine the measurements and learning the importance of aligning beginning points to measure length. They will continue the work on counting/combining and separating while measuring. They will use words to describe what they are measuring such as: long, short, wide, tall, heavy, light, even, full, empty, deep, narrow. They will also use the comparing forms of these words --- longer, shorter, heavier and so forth.
