The Administration will present, for first reading, information concerning the proposed K-5 District Guidance Curriculum (ATTACHMENT). Adoption will be recommended at a future Board meeting. District counselors, teachers and administrators have been working on the alignment, coordination and articulation of the District Guidance Curriculum. The Curriculum Review Committee has recommended adoption of the curricula and the implementation of these programs across the District. All materials recommended for the current adoption have been in wide use in the District. This adoption will standardize the curricula across the District to ensure that all schools are using the most current edition of the materials and allow the District to focus professional development activities on the same version of the instructional materials. | |
