    Special Board Meeting

     

     

    The Board of Directors of Everett School District No. 2, Snohomish County, Washington, held a special Board meeting on Tuesday, March 14, 2006, at 4 p.m., in the Board Room of the Everett School District Educational Service Center, 4730 Colby Avenue, Everett, Washington. Board members in attendance were Sue Cooper, Kristie Dutton, Karen Madsen and Roy Yates.

     

    BOARD ACTION AND/OR DISCUSSION

    President Yates called the meeting to order at 4 p.m. and recessed immediately into executive session for the purpose of evaluating the qualifications of candidates for appointment to elective office. Prior to going into executive session, it was announced the estimated duration of the executive session would be one hour.

     

    At the conclusion of the executive session at 5 p.m., President Yates called for a brief recess of the special Board meeting for a rest break.

     

    President Yates re-convened the special meeting at 5:10 p.m. and called for action on the Personnel Report (E:115/06). Sue Cooper moved for adoption of the Personnel Report. Karen Madsen seconded the motion and the motion carried unanimously.

     

    Next, the interview of Board candidate Ed Petersen was conducted, followed by the interview of Board candidate Kathleen (Kathy) Webber. Questions asked of each candidate are attached (E:116/06).

     

    At the conclusion of the interviews at 6:20 p.m., President Yates called for a brief recess of the special Board meeting for a rest break.

     

    President Yates re-convened the special meeting at 6:30 p.m. and recessed immediately into executive session for the purpose of evaluating the qualifications of candidates for appointment to elective office. Prior to going into executive session, it was announced that the estimated duration of the executive session would be 20 minutes.

     

    At 6:50 p.m., President Yates re-convened the special meeting and adjourned immediately.
