2.4 In the event an employee fails to apply for or maintain his/her membership in the Union or
authorize deduction of a representation fee as required in Section 2.1 of this Agreement,the Union may give the District Human Resources Department notice of this fact and withinfive workdays after receipt of such notice, the service of such employee shall beterminated by the District.
