Recognizing Communities in Schools Week
WHEREAS, Snohomish County is a community we take pride in, and
bringing up our children to be resilient and successful community citizens is a
priority we all share, and
WHEREAS, it is common today for teachers to have to spend their valuable
time working in the social service system, instead of teaching due to the lack
of support systems for today's young people, and
WHEREAS, Communities in Schools brings into our schools the resources
of the community -- including businesses, social service agencies, community
organizations, health care providers, churches and volunteer groups -- to
work with school staff as part of a coordina...
