October 1, 2019Jackson students named National Merit Scholarship semifinalists! The state’s semifinalists, along withabout 16,000 others across the nation,had the highest scores on the 2018PSAT taken by 1.5 million juniors thispast year.
To qualify, each student and
their high school must submit anapplication that includes academic transcripts, an essay and a letter of recommendation.
Scholarship winners are the finalists in
each state judged to have the strongest combination of accomplishments, skills and potential forsuccess in rigorous college studies.
