Strategies the students will be using will vary depending on the size of the number.
  • Example: 6 x 13 = 78 or 78 ÷ 6 = 13
Students may use the 100 chart to record the skip countand look for patterns.
  • Strategies for fluency – some students may not need strategies depending on the number combination
and others may use a different one than is suggested below (once student is proficient in these numbercombinations move on to the next group):Proficiency – student can say product (answer) quickly without much pause.
