- When the junior year PSAT was free, the number of students taking the test doubled from 638 in 2010 to 1,270 in 2011. - The three Everett Public Schools students were among 1,270 in the district who took the Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (PSAT/NMSQT) in October 2011 – the first junior class in the district for whom all of the PSAT costs were covered by the district. - Historically, approximately nine out of 10 semifinalists do become designees, and more than half of those will earn the title of Merit Scholar®. - Merit Scholars, announced April through July of 2013, are chosen because of their skills, accomplishments...
