- Displaying their musical talents and highlighting high school music programs, students from 30 of the
best marching bands in the Pacific Northwest will be performing and competing in four divisions.
- The following year the Snohomish High Band Booster Club co-sponsored the festival and the name
was changed to Puget Sound Marching Band Championships.
- Besides Snohomish High School, the festival has been co-sponsored by Winter Guard International
and the Northwest Marching Band Circuit.
