CTE update
Carl Fender updated the council on program budget, the federal stimulus package that is pro-CTE, Randy Dorn and district budget cuts from $3 – $8 million due to state budget cuts.
- C: Yes, Terry’s Machine opened up their shop for the students.
- We’re currently waiting for the DOL to identify exactly what a green job is.
- In eastern Washington they are having migrant workers salvage planes.
- With people being laid off from jobs, they are looking for opportunities to get involved.
