Dear Colleague:
As educators, we focus a great deal of energy and spirit on the "what” and the “how”
of our craft – “what” it takes and “how” we can support each student’s learning.

important to me, though, is the "why” of our commitment to this work.
- I was asked
to provide the welcoming remarks.
- I chose to talk about why I believe you and I are
so committed to this work together.

basis for this belief is not as important as the actions we take to affirm it, day in and
