A Resolution of the Board of Directors (the "Board") of the Everett School District No.
- WHEREAS, the Washington Legislature passed the Omnibus Alcohol and Controlled Substance
Abuse Act of 1989 enacting a gross receipts tax on certain products to fund the Drug Enforcement
and Education Account; and
WHEREAS, the Account provides resources for increased penalties for persons convicted of drug
or alcohol-related crimes, treatment programs for persons with substance abuse problems, and
educational/informational programs for public schools regarding substance abuse prevention; and
