AUTHORIZATION TO EMPLOY RETIRED TEACHERS AS SUBSTITUTE
CLASSROOM TEACHERS
This is a resolution from the Everett School District No.2 Board of Directors petitionllg the
State Board of Education for approval of an autho~zation to employ retired teachers as substitute
classroom teachers.
- WHEREAS, the Everett School District, Snohomish County, Washington, is a first class district
under-the statutes of the State of Washington; and
WHEREAS, the legislature will allow retired teachers to substitute an additional 15 days (105
hours) per school year, beyond the 75 days (525 hours) currently allowed without affecting their
retirement benefit, and;
