Dear Colleague:
Over the last several months, there have been numerous confirmed cases of mumps in the Puget
Sound region.
- In addition, the families of students
attending those schools who are not immunized against mumps have been have been notified
directly that their children are being excluded from school to prevent the mumps from spreading, in
accordance with Washington State Health Department and Centers for Disease Center for
Prevention(CDC) guidelines.
