Board awards childcare bid to YMCA
Subject to a renegotiated agreement, parents will have greater access to childcare
At their regular meeting on July 3, the board of directors conditionally authorized an award of bid
for before- and after-school care to the YMCA of Snohomish County.
- If further YMCA negotiations are successful, the Y may begin offering more childcare options at
more schools later in the year, during 2018-19 – especially in crowded elementary schools in
the district’s southern region.
- The RFP process detailed
the district’s goals to increase parent choice and flexibility.
